Ingredients:
2 parts dark rum (Goslings, Meyers)
3 parts ginger beer (that’s ginger BEER, not ginger ALE. It’s cloudier, has more ginger, and is simply more badass overall)
1 lime
Method:
This one is fairly uncomplicated. Simply mix the rum, ginger beer, and lime juice in a tall glass over ice. What makes this a little more involved in ensuring you get the ratios right–some recipes will tell you 2 ounces rum, 3 ounces ginger beer, 1/2 an ounce lime juice, but unless you’re the technical, mathematical type, you’ll probably just want to free pour and approximate from there. Our preference is not to go too easy on the lime–gives it a nice kick. Garnish with a sliver of lime, and break out the yacht rock.
